Organized by the Dubai Design and Fashion Council, the Urban Majlis launched the MENA Design Outlook, a ground-breaking study that provided a comprehensive analysis of the Middle East’s design industry and the impact of the sector on economic growth and its role in driving innovation.
Ahmed Al Ali joined a panel of industry experts, local and regional designers who discussed the study’s implications and the impact on emerging trends in the MENA design sector. The study looked at a range of sectors within the design space, and analyzed both the opportunity and contributions toward local economies.
The Urban Majlis took place on Monday 26 October at the Atrium, Dubai Design District (d3). It featured a keynote speech by Dr Amina Al Rustamani, Chairwomen, Dubai Design and Fashion Council; and a panel with Emmanuel Durou, Partner, Monitor Deloitte; Ahmed Al Ali, Executive Chairman, X-Architects; Ayah Al Bitar, Product and Furniture Designer, Shireen El Khatib, CEO, Marquee General Trading, moderated by Ahmed Bin Shabib Owner/Founder, Brownbook.
