Antarah rock site connects the past, present, and future by building bridges between Antarah’s life, context, and the contemporary world to highlight his living legacy, underscoring him as a timeless icon and model of perseverance and virtue. In a transformative journey of educational and contemporary experiences, the exhibition retraces Antarah’s life and highlights his elevation from a rejected slave in the fields to becoming a legend. The exhibition is centred around five consecutive galleries exploring the multifaceted character of Antarah: the slave, the lover, the poet, the knight, and finally the legend.

Antarah Rock is a significant historical site related to the legendary knight, adventurer, and poet Antarah ibn Shaddad. This large sandstone rock, affected by erosion, is traditionally believed to be the place where Antarah met his beloved, Ablah. The Trail is designed as a shaded pathway enticing enlightenment, appreciation and contemplation of the local environment and its crafts and products. The Hub is designed as a living and meeting space with a continuing year-round programmed featuring fascinating cultural, educational and recreational events animating the multiple facets of Antarah’s legacy and offering authentic. The Hub is created from the ground to provide a public platform and an amphitheater to promote multiple events throughout the year immersive experiences.
