Being the first military academy in the UAE, Zayed II military school played an essential role in the security and military status of the UAE. In 1972, the academy was established by the founder of the UAE, H.H. Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, as a wise plan to tackle the military status of the country.

The vision of the project is to shed the light on the great roles that the academy graduates have played to maintain the welfare of the Emirati society while also participating worldwide in peace making, natural disasters rescue missions and humanitarian work. Following the academy’s move to a new campus, the original campus of the ZSMS academy was left to decay overtime.

X-Architects, together with the command of the military museum works joint team, to preserve the Emirati modern history and to transform the academy into an educational museum which celebrates the history of the military education in the UAE and the achievements of those men who served their country.
