In Dubai’s Design District, buildings are arranged on a visual axis and clean view corridors. In case of major events like Dubai Design Week, the activity programme and pavilions are arranged in a systematic, clear form on axis. We suggested to introduce a disruptor, a “Green Blanket” that offers an ambiguous experience, fades the views, blurs the edges and promotes accidental interactions. Installations will be hidden within the dense landscape and distributed in small fragments. Each “node” will camouflage with its surroundings and create a world of its own
