3D Printed Office Spaces

Riyadh, KSA / 2022

The 3D Printed Office Spaces is a beacon of innovation in the world of architecture, utilizing the latest advancements in 3D printing technology to create a modular design. By embracing the unique challenges posed by the arid climate of Riyadh, we were able to create a dynamic space that seamlessly blends indoor and outdoor elements.

The modularity of 3D printing played a pivotal role in the creation of the 3D Printed Office Spaces. This cutting-edge technology allowed us to construct intricate layered walls that not only provide structural support but also create self-shading effects. The interplay of light and shadow adds an element of mystery to the spaces, as sequential and in-between areas unveil themselves gradually to visitors. As one explores the building, hidden oases are waiting to be discovered, offering tranquil retreats amidst the bustling office environment. These hidden pockets of greenery and serenity further enhance the connection between indoor and outdoor spaces, fostering a harmonious and inspiring work environment.

Our team drew inspiration from the local vernacular of Riyadh, incorporating a network of spaces and pocket oases to encourage the free flow of air and light throughout the building. The resulting hexagonal geometry is a true testament to the power of modularity, with complex spaces arranged around a central courtyard and pockets of greenery adorning the outer edges of the building.
