Villa for Four Ladies
Dubai, UAE / 2013
Taking fundamental cultural elements from the Emirati living standards, providing the separation required between men and women, the programmatic layout provides the ability for the women, to control the level of privacy between the private and public living spaces. The courtyard acts as a cultural and physical separation between the public space and the private. The possibility to open and close the internal garden gives the opportunity to define and re-negotiate constantly the level of privacy required.
