Founding partner Farid Esmaeil led an educational site visit at Bait Mohammed Bin Khalifa with students from Zayed University’s College of Architecture. The visit provided detailed insights into the project’s rehabilitation design, conservation strategies, material language, and urban context.

Students explored aspects such as the operable louvered skin, the layering of heritage materials including stone, mud-brick, cement, and steel, and the restoration of original features such as mashrabiyas and corbels. The discussion also highlighted how contemporary interventions were carefully integrated to harmonize with the building’s original 1950s and 1960s structure.

The visit offered an immersive learning experience that emphasized the balance between preserving historical character and introducing thoughtful, modern design solutions.
