Farid Esmaeil presents “ARCHITECTURE THAT LISTENS: From Desert Ecologies to Future Gulf Cities” at the 2nd Desert Architecture MENA Forum 2026.

Addressing an audience of peers and industry leaders, our Founding Partner outlined a shift away from rigid, inherited typologies toward a deeply contextual design language, one that listens closely to the fragile ecosystem of the desert to shape the future of our regional cities.

Designing for the desert requires a careful balance by translating indigenous knowledge and natural desert ecologies into resilient architectural strategies. The session highlighted case studies on building human-centric urban environments that respond deeply to local culture while acting as scalable models for regenerative design in future Gulf cities.
